It fits perfectly and for a laptop this big and heavy you want the added support of three straps(two shoulder, one waist) that come with this backpack style bag. It's really well padded and has some pretty decent compartments for carrying books, folders, pens, portfolios, power supply, etc. It could use a couple more organizational zippered pockets if anything.

(More customer reviews)This bag fits my 15 inch laptop perfectly. Great protection and has enough space to fit a couple books and a magazine. Design gives you the advantage of accessing your laptop quickly and a simple put away and go but also securing your laptop. Over the chest shoulder strap is actually quite comfortable given this is my first messenger type bag. Great bag from Sony, maybe a bit on the expensive side but I feel it was well worth it's value.

Sony VGP-CVP1 VAIO Leather Cover for P Series Lifestyle (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)This case has a pretty nice design and appearance to it; however, the designer could have done a better job. The instructions are really clear and easy to follow, but it still doesn't work the way one may hope it would. The way the case sticks to the computer is with adhesives, a rubbery like tape, and velcro on the bottom. There's no need to worry about the rubbery like adhesive scratching the surface of your precious Vaio P; however, that's not the big problem with this case. The most annoying part of it all is that the adhesive tends to unstick from the Vaio, causing the top "flap", or top part of the case, from falling off. As the case gets older, this will happen more often. Sony does include extra adhesive, but I still don't feel that issue should occur. It started happening on my case from the second day.
I received this case as a gift, so I'm not sorry I received it, and I really did want this case because it looks so nice. Now that I have tried it, I would go for n other Sony case, or even a third party case. If you really want a leather case, and are willing to spend $200 on real leather, I would suggest a Vaja case. I have a Vaja case for my MacBook and it is close to perfect, and I'm tempted to get one for the Vaio P; I should start saving for it though.

Sony VAIO VGP-AMC7 Neoprene Case for FW series (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)The FW laptop (which has a more rectangular shape than most other laptops because of its 16:9 screen format) fits perfectly in this dedicated sleeve-like holster, and the separate case for the power supply is also very handy (it is big enough to accommodate a small phone charger besides the laptop charger).
Just be advised that this kind of case, because of its thin neoprene construction, does not offer the same degree of protection of a regular laptop bag: it is fine to prevent scratches but will not be as effective against drops or crushing.
UPDATE: I recommend putting a sheet of protective material between the screen and the keyboard part of your laptop when traveling (the foamy sheet that comes with the original Vaio packaging is ideal). My FW has scratches on the shiny silvery plastic of the screen frame halfway between the web-cam and the edge of the lid because that part can touch the main body of the laptop when the lid is closed. Not this neoprene case's fault but rather a design flaw of the wide-screen FW: the tiny rubber bumpers on both corners of the lid and around the web-cam are not thick enough to prevent friction between the lid and the keyboard.

It has a little cover where the opening is, to cover it up. Opening is made with magnetic so it is very handy to open and close. It fits VAIO P perfectly, but don't fit with the large capacity battery. I think this product is very good and also with luxury style.
