(More customer reviews)The battery works well for 17 inch Vaio. Although extended is a good word when compared to the life of the battery included with the computer, I was somewhat disappointed. This could be a problem with Vista rather than the battery itself. One nice perk of the battery is that once installed it raised the back of the laptop. I will say it is unfortunate that Sony decided to ship Vaio with such a poor battery requiring most to purchase an "extended" life battery. This is something to keep in mind if you are considering purchasing the Vaio.
