Sony VAIO VPC-W211AX/T 10-Inch Netbook (Brown) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is the newest model (W211AX) of Sony's Netbooks and has a extended battery life. While others may complain of the battery- I like the fact that it elevates the netbook up towards you. Depending on the surfing you do- you may have a bit less battery life than advertised. I ordered the pink Vaio and couldn't be more pleased. It was everything I expected it to be and then some. The Track pad is reasonably sized and much larger than most. The screen clarity is amazing. My only complaint is where the speakers are situated for the volume. I simply resolved this issue on my own and use my ipod head phones when listening to sound. To the lower right of screen you may also adjust zoom level. Your options are 100, 125, and 150. If you do increase the zoom level- You do loose a bit of viewing and must scroll from side to side. The keyboard buttons are a bit elevated and makes it easier for typing. The only other downfall that I could say would be that the netbook only comes with Windows 7 Starter. With this program starter version you are unable to change desktop background. Bummer... I love that I can install my SD card and download my photos too. Perfect for web surfing, downloading pics, typing, emails, etc.
AMAZING LITTLE NETBOOK!!!!!!!!
SONY CONTINUES TO IMPROVE THEIR APPEARANCE, MODELS INTERIOR, AND STAND BY THE SONY NAME WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!

Sony VAIO VPCP111KX/B 8-Inch Laptop (Black) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)NOTE:
Amazon has incorrect technical information for the CPU, is not a core duo, it's an Atom Z530.
You really need to analyze if the benefits offer by this little netbook are worth the money.
It was actually this or an Ipad, what actually tipped me into buying it is the full keyboard, and the fact that this is more or less a full PC.
If you are actually buying it for Internet stuff, it's perfect, that's the reason why I bought it.
It's super small, I think is the smallest netbook on the market.
That might be the greatest benefit or the worst, depending on what your looking for.
The benefits from the previous generation are worth the money you might save from buying the old one, there is a hardware key that will change the screen resolution, stuff will look bigger.
Accelerometer, it helps in some situations to have the screen on portrait mode.
Faster CPU and performance overall.
Default (factory installed) battery will last longer.
Touch pad works really good.
I guess that's about it... really don't know of I'm missing something, I've been using it for about 5 hours...
You can speed up the performance by deleting some of the extra junk that's always installed by default by the manufacturer, actually this is the computer that I've left most of the "junk" software that comes by default.
For internet browsing I've found that chrome is the fastest browser, provides a better experience, use F11 for full screen and Ctrl + and Ctrl -, to zoom in and out, this will also maintain aspect ratio
I find that the performance it's snappy,
I'm actually very happy with my purchase. In terms of actual looks, this device is super sexy :-) It really looks good and feels great.
I find most Netbooks fell kind of cheap, not sure how to describe it. Not the case with the VAIO P.
Something that I would've like... I wished the scree will "open more" to an almost completely flat position.
Speakers are really weak, however, sony will provide u with noise canceling head pones, they work really good.
Also, video playback is really not fantastic, I've had to downscale most of the videos, youtube is good using google chrome and hulu is acceptable.
If you have any specific questions, I'll try to reply and help out.

Sony VAIO VPCM121AX/L Netbook Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Forget about buying a second battery. There are none to be had. This computer also does not appear anywhere on the Sony website, not even under service and parts.
Lovely screen and picture, but it will have limited life as the battery (which is pitiful to being with) dies.
Nice gadget if you have the money to throw away.
