(More customer reviews)This is not as much a carrying case as it is a protective case/cushion. We bought one (BLACK) for our son's 14" VAIO a few months ago because, at the age of 12, he doesn't feel like carrying a business-like bag with him when he takes his laptop along to friends'.
This case WILL protect a laptop carried inside a larger container such as a backpack or some larger piece of luggage where it will protect the laptop from being scratched or soiled. However, it is not a good solution to carrying the laptop around because it lacks a handle or a shoulder strap and provides no room for the AC adapter or any other accessories.
For what we paid and for what we use it, it's okay but I'd recommend a more traditional carrying case for anyone commuting with the laptop daily.
