The laptop was only one year old however I was unable to get a replacement in any shop in Houston including the SonyStyle shop. Returned to my hotel and ordered it at amazon.com and had 2 days later in my room. And it was 20% cheaper than in Europe. So in case you travel to the US and stay there more than 4 days and you need an electronic spare or replacement, compare the prices and buy it there.
