For just under $11 i cannot complain. It works fine. I tested the voltage and it is virtually identical to the Sony adapter and my both my VAIO notebooks work fine with the adapters.
I purchased two of them because I was tired of packing and unpacking the power cord every time my wife or myself wanted to put a notebook in a backpack.
I would STRONGLY suggest not using the power cord that comes with the Adapter since it is quite light and I would not trust it to stand prolonged usage. These power cords are cheap and can be found at a hardware or discount computer store for about $5.
The adapter is (not surprisingly) not Sony branded but in my case was a Dekcell (made in China). It is slightly bigger than the Sony adapter and is NOT UL Certified. It does have other non-US certifications including an Argentina certification.
I use one of them every day on my desk and have had zero problems with it.
