(More customer reviews)I needed to replace a matshita uj-870qj dvd burner which is without question the worst dvd burner ever made. It came with my Sony Vaio Vgn-Nr285e. There was no support at all for it.After dealing with it working then not working then would not read a blank dvd but would read a dvd already written sometimes i needed to replace it. I just got this Sony optiarc today and installed easy and works great. Only thing is the bezel is different from the matshita and it sit back in the laptop a bit. It fits and works i really do not care how it looks. I did not have to download any drivers windows 7 installed right away. I burned some movies and it works great and is really quiet so much so i had to check to see if it actually was working or not. It was and performed great straight out of the bag. It's A+ replacement for anyone dealing with that junk matshita.
