(More customer reviews)When I ordered this battery for my Sony CR series laptop I was under the impression that it was a genuine Sony battery. The title of the item does say "by Sony", but I was wrong. The battery arrived and I knew it was not a Sony battery right away. There was no box, which genuine sony batteries always come in because I have purchased severeal in the past. The battery arrived with a small disc that looked like someone had made on there home computer. The instructions said to run the disc if the computer does not recognize the battery. Huh? What the heck? I ordered this battery because it said it was for my computer model, now they say it might not work! I put the battery in and nothing. The computer gave me a message saying the battery was not compatible. I did reluctatnly try to run the disc, but it would not run. I went to windows explorer to look at the disc contents and it was blank. Needless to say, this was a big waste of money and my time. I contacted the seller and sent the battery back. Still waiting for my refund. My advice... only by a genuine Sony battery.
