(More customer reviews)Hello,
I have been wanting this PC for almost a year. It finally went on sale and I grabbed it. I was very satisfied with it until I discovered a problem copying large files to any connected USB devices. In my case, I have to transfer large video images. When I tried to copy them to a USB drive, it would lock up Windows 7.
Google Searches seem to indicate this is a common problem and many hardware vendors are coming up with bios patches.
I tried working with Sony Technical Support and that turned into the worst experience of my life. Every time I called them, I'd get a different person that insisted we reformat everything back to the factory defaults. After 3 times of this, I was so angry with Sony Support that I returned the PC back to Amazon. Luckily Amazon Support is infinitely better than Sony's so they let me return it.
I have a Sony Laptop that I am extremely satisfied with and I think I would have been satisifed with this PC if it would have worked.I think if I was willing to spend a few hundred hours on the phone with Sony Support, they might have stumbled across a solution at some point but my confidence in them was so low that I figured I'd just return it and buy an HP instead.
Anyway, if you don't have to copy 25GB images to/from USB devices, this is probably a good machine for you.
I'm so glad my laptop has worked from day one because I can't image what it's going to be like if I have to call Sony support on it.
Regards,
